Area of Mount Simpang Nature Reserve is an area of high mountains and rolling hills with altitude ranging from 800 to 1823 meters above sea level.

Nature Reserve ecosystem types include type of rain forest covered mountains that are also several types of groups such as epiphyt liana and Owar (Flagellaria aindica), Kasungka (Gnetum neglactum), Kibarece (Vittis compressa), Phalaenopsis amabilis (Phlaenopsis amabilis), Kadaka (Drynaria sp ), Loranthus (Diplazium esculentum) and others.

The types of wildlife found in this natural reserve is: Javan (Trachypitechus auratus), Deer (Muntiacus muntjak), forest Chicken (Gallus gallus), Lizard (Mabouya sp), Chameleon (Conycephalus dilophus), Gecko (Gecko gecko) and others.

To reach the location of Mount Simpang Nature Reserve can be done through the route:

1. Bandung – Ciwidey – Londok – Location -ª 86 Km. Can be reached by four-wheel drive through some of paved roads.
2. Bandung – Ciwidey – Balegede – Naringgul – Nature Reserves Location -ª 100 Km by road partially paved.
3. Bandung – Ciwidey – Plantation Patuha – Rancabati – Nature Reserves Location -ª 60 Km. Some pretty good roads.
