Sulawesi South, Bira, South Sulawesi Divers

The South Sulawesi Dive Resort is located in a tropical garden, close to the sleepy village of Bira in South Sulawesi. In this previously little-known region, every visitor can experience pure nature. Away from mass tourism, you can not only learn a completely different Indonesia, but also gather diving experiences in a beautiful and untouched underwater world. Trips take place with traditional fishing boats (2-3 dives per day including tanks, weights, lunch box). Between dives, we take our lunch at exotic beaches or in the small fishing boats in secluded coves. You can experience amazing dives off the Goats Island or the Cape of Bira. Visit a wonderful, with coral-covered, wreck in 30m depth. Regularly you can observe blacktip sharks, whitetip sharks and gray sharks. However, tuna, turtles, groupers, barracudas, and at least six ray species, including manta rays and eagle rays, cavort in the waters around Bira. The drift in some very strong current, past cliffs, overhangs and coral gardens make every dive an unforgettable adventure, but are not for beginners. On the house reef there is not only a mix of soft and hard corals, but even there the animal makes for fun. Octopus, squids, nudibranchs, moray eels, sea snakes, sea horses and countless reef fishes provide some variation. Whoever brings the right amount of luck can watch whale sharks and thresher sharks. – Security: Computer required, buoys required – Oxygen is available on the boats and at the dive resort – The nearest decompression chamber is located in Makassar – (about 4 hours away) – Recommendation: Do not forget flow hooks – Dive training (PADI and CMAS) is possible with prior notification
