A few words… The Resort Exclusively located on Pulau Siladen, a lush tropical island in the heart of the world renowned Bunaken National Marine Park, Siladen Resort & Spa is only a half hour boat ride from Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The 4 star boutique resort is an ecofriendly property which places high emphasis on the protection of the Marine Park and the environment. Officially opened in January 2003 the Resort occupies 4 hectars of land. The island itself is only 24 hectars in size. The Bunaken National Marine Park,is regarded as one of the top marine parks in the world and a center of marine biodiversity. It offers visitors breathtaking diving and snorkeling with an incredible variety of marine life. Siladen Resort & Spa is located on the western side of the island on a 300 meters long stretch of white coral beach facing the Manadotua resting volcano with its spectacular sunsets. The Resort is an exclusive hidden getaway. European owned and managed, we offer the most attractive, exsquisite and secluded accommodation in Sulawesi with extra large king size beds, outdoor open air showers, sundecks overlooking the calm seas. Guests enjoy an authentic and relaxing atmosphere coupled with outstanding service. The Resort comprises 16 villas (5 individual beach view villas with private sunbeds, 5 double garden villas with separate entrances, 1 family villa with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a common living area); large salt water pool; lounge bar; small library; pool table; boutique and gift shop; beach with sunbeds and gazebos; traditional spa; fine dining restaurant. In the heart of the park, over 50 dive sites within easy reach, spectacular sunsets, a cuisine that will surprise you. A memorable holiday. Practical information Air Conditioning All villas are equipped with air conditioning units. Charges All charges at the Resort are in IDR and do not include 21% government taxes (++). Climate Located a few degrees above the Equator, Siladen enjoys constant temperatures all year round. Air temperature is usually around 30° Celsius and water temperature is 28° Celsius. The dry season lasts from April to November, while occasional rains characterize the remaining period. Credit Cards Visa and Mastercard are welcomed at the Resort. All charges are in IDR. Currency The Resort accepts IDR, Euro, US dollars only. 1 Euro is appx. 12,000 IDR while 1 USD is appx. 8,500 IDR. Diving Center Our full service diving center is equipped with 2 bauer comprssors, Nitrox, camera facilities for photographers and offers a full range of PADI courses. Dive guide to guests ratio is usually 1:4. Max. number of dives offered per day: 4. No shore diving, all diving from boats with dive guides. Equipment is available for rent. Electricity 220volts, 2 round pin sockets. Flights Manado Sam Ratulangi airport is served by Silk Air (via Singapore), Lion Air, Garuda and Merpati from Jakarta. Jetty The island of Siladen does not currently have a jetty. Internet We offer free internet WiFi access throughout the Resort. A laptop is also available to guests free of charge at the Reception. Languages The following languages are spoken at the Resort: Indonesian, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Japanese. Pool The large round salt water pool is located in the heart of the Resort’s central unit. Pool towels are available for guests all day long. Pool towels are also available on our boats. Religion North Sulawesi is a predominantly Christian area of Indonesia. Snorkeling Snorkeling is possible at the old jetty, a 5 min walk from the Resort’s entrance. Tides Being located a few degrees above the Equator, the island of Siladen is subject to strong tide excursions. Time Difference +6 CET and +7 CET during summer daily light saving Transfers Guests are welcomed at Manado airport by our front office staff and escorted by private transfer to the Resort. Transfer time to the Resort is appx. 90 minutes depending on weather and tide conditions. Turtle Sanctuary The Resort hosts a “Turtle Sanctuary” on its premises.
