5 ribs
2 large white onions
5 cloves garlic
small piece of ginger or a teaspoon. djahé powder
1/2 tbsp. coriander (cilantro)
2 bouillon cubes
3 tbsp. soy sauce (sweet)
1 tbsp. tomato
2 red peppers (lombok)
1 tbsp. cane sugar or gula djawa
lime juice (about 1 teaspoon)
vegetable oil


The onions, garlic cloves, peel the ginger and Lombok and finely chop. Would you like it spicy? … use the seeds from the chilies.

Heat the oil and the onions, etc. with reference to baking. After the onions, etc. have been given a light tan, with the ribs to add 1 liter of water. Add all other ingredients (crush bouillon cubes) and the whole briefly to the boil.

The whole covered about three quarters, a small fire, let simmer. The ribs, and put in the oven at 180 C. still an hour to bake. Do not forget ….. occasionally the ribs to rotate and to rub with the marinade.

Note: Of course you can also prepare those delicious ribs on the BBQ but …… or above glowing wood coals (no flames) so that they can be quiet brown.
