Roti pudding, bread pudding

Rotti pudding (bread pudding)Podding-rotti

1 bread (which may be older)
150 g raisins or currants
4 eggs
5 tbsp. sugar
1/2 ltr. milk
1 vanilla pod
salt to taste
100 g butter
Tip: (Small rum)
Remove the crust from the bread and soak the bread in hot water.
Press out the water, until the bread is almost dry. Soak the raisins or currants.
Beat the eggs with the sugar and milk release.
Now add the bread mixture. Split the vanilla pod, cut into pieces and mix it through the broodpap with raisins or currants and salt. Do also possibly the rum mixture.
Grease an ovenproof dish with butter. Put the broodpap in the dish with a few pats of butter on top. Preheat the oven (175 C) and let the broodpap in about 30 minutes until done baking.
