Lapis daging, Fried and seasoned beef slices

1/2 kg. beefsteak
1 tbsp. sweet soy sauce
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. asem (syrup)
1 1/2 cup broth
5 cloves gently
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. black pepper
salt to taste
1 tbsp. flour or cornstarch
3 tbsp. oil


Mix the salt, pepper and nutmeg and rub the meat. Heat in a wadjan the oil and fry the meat. Add the soy sauce, tamarind, vinegar, gunpowder and nails the broth and simmer the meat on a small fire until done. Thicken the sauce with a little flour or cornstarch diluted.
