Brambang Isi, Stuffed Onions

Bram Bang Isi – Stuffed OnionsBrambang-Isi
This is a delicious accompaniment to your rice table. Unknown but certainly worth a try.
4 large yellow onions
salt to taste (sea salt is best)
3 red onions
1 tbsp. chive
1 red lombok
50 gr. bread-crumbs
250 ml chicken stock (you can make a stock cube)
2 tbsp oil

Cook the onions for 15 minutes in a pan with water and salt. Let the onions cool and drain well.

Hollow the onions gently. Cut the chives, red onion very finely and Lombok. The flesh which comes from the onions, also chop.

Heat in a wok / wadjan the oil and fry (3 min) the onions and chilies. Add the onion stuffing and chopped chives and mix together. Make up the hollowed-out onions.

Grease a baking dish or roasting pan and put the onions in this dish. Sprinkle the onions with a little breadcrumbs and put a pinch of butter on the fried onion.

Pour the broth, gently, along the onions and fry the onions in the oven at 200 g for 30 minutes until brown and tender.
