Appias nero, Orange Albatross, Pieridae


Native South East Asia   Wingspan 10-12 cm

The only species in the world that is entirely orange in color. About 3″ wide x 3″ tall in a 5″ x 6″ frame. Females look like males, but have a black border around the wings and hindwing. Females are much less bold than males, and keep high in the forest canopy. Origin:Indonesia.
