Papua Benteng Du Bus (Fort Du Bus),  1828

Fort Du Bus (Fort Du Bus), Papua 1828 Fort Du Bus was the first fort that stood the Dutch East Indies forces in Papua. Standing on August 24, 1828. Establishment of this fort marked the start of the Dutch East Indies colony in Papua. Name of the fort is taken from the name of the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies in power at that time, LPJ Burggraaf du Bus de Gisignies. Although the Papua region since 1823 has been considered by the Dutch government as part of the Dutch colonies in the archipelago, the power of the new colonial government was truly manifested in Papua in the late-l9.
