Site Description
One of the last remaining examples of well-developed mangrove on the east coast of this province, supporting a variety of mangrove species. It has a rich bird fauna and is a significant breeding and nursery area for fish and shellfish. Principal vegetation: Sonneratia sp, Bruguiera, Ceriops, Avicennia, Rhizophora.
Site Location
Located on the north eastern coast of Sumatra, near Sungai Kuala.
