Site Description
The lake is a very shallow floodplain lake in Sulawesi (2.5 m), flowing to the Mollucca Sea through the River Limboto. It is to a great extent covered with higher vegetation and submerged plants. It was weakly stratified, with a reasonable water quality and water transparency about 0.4 metres. The lake is considered to be eutrophic.
