Yawila Nature Reserve

General
The proposed Yawila Nature Reserve has an area of 3,000 ha. and is located west of Waikabubak. The site includes the highest peak (888 m.) of West Sumba and is the wettest site on Sumba. Below 700 m. the area is covered by semi-deciduous forests while above the forest is evergreen and rich in epiphytes.

Yawila Nature Reserve is most easily reached from Waikabubak.
