General
Pulau Kassa is a very small sandy island in Teluk Piru, a bay between Seram and Ambon. In 1978 a protected area of 2,000 ha., comprising a 900 ha. wildlife reserve and a 1,100 ha marine recreation park, have been established.
Despite disturbances by local people Pulau Kassa is still relatively well forested. The waters surrounding the island hold some coral reefs but these have suffered from dynamite fishing.
Access
Pulau Kassa can be reached by boat from Hitu, Waai or Tulehu on Ambon.
Accommodation
There is no accommodation on Pulau Kassa but you could easily stay on Ambon. * Ambon
