Otus sagittatus, White-fronted Scops Owl, Celepuk Besar

The WOtus sagittatus, White-fronted Scops Owl, Celepuk Besarhite-fronted Scops Owl Otus sagittatus has a small and declining population that little is known about. It is dependent on lowland and foothill forest which is rapidly being destroyed. It is considered vulnerable and has a population of about 2,500-10,000. Its range covers 149,000 km of forest from 0-700 meters above sea-level. The main threat to this Asian owl is habitat loss.
